#FaithSeries: Don't Leave Me
The Sun smiled gently that morning. The trees and grasses gladly stretched and danced in the wind. The weather was so cool. Jadesola yawned as she got up from her bed and decided to get ready for her virtual meeting with one of her clients, Mr Kalejaiye.
She had snoozed all her alarms so she only had about an hour to get ready for the meeting. “This lock down effect seff” she said, as she squeezed some toothpaste on her fancy toothbrush. As she sat at her work desk to get connected to the platform where the meeting was scheduled to take place, she decided to quickly check her messages on Instagram. “What’s up with the gram today” she muttered under her breath as she minimized the window for the meeting which was to start in about 10 minutes.
Well, she had no messages and so decided to take a look at some videos. She came across the words- ‘Don’t leave me’ and was curious to find out what it was about. Apparently, it was all about having great ideas from little things around and the other person running after the speaker who had just dropped some words of wisdom. It was quite hilarious. She paused.
The meeting with Mr Kalejaiye was quite productive. They discussed about the upgraded version of his customer care App. There was quite a lot to put in place for the successful operation of the application. She would have to call other members of her team to work tirelessly on the new project.
Later, that evening, she picked up her Bible to read a chapter. To her, doing that would help her feel less guilty and at least have something to say when her Mum calls and ask the one billion naira question, ‘what was the word for today?’
As she turned the pages of the Bible, she read these words- I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5). Her mind slowly reiterated the words but all she could say aloud was, ‘don’t leave me’.

It’s a two-way street. Jesus assures us of always being with us. He is wisdom personified. So we can always run to Him to draw from Him. But, we also have to make a commitment not to leave Him. We have to stay connected to Jesus so we can move in the path divinely orchestrated for our lives.
Don’t leave HIM!

Beautiful piece!!!!
