#FaithSeries: Grace that Amazes






Greg smiled as he remembered the good old days. His friends used to describe his head with creative words in secondary school because to them, his head was not the regular size. He couldn’t even argue with anybody. It is what it is. Those days were the real deal. 

 Being a Managing Director of one of the top companies in East Africa was a great achievement for him. He had won several awards for his contribution to the Tech space and was doing well for himself. But there was always this void that could never be filled. No matter how successful he was, he never felt fulfilled. There was something missing.


Then, he met Grace. She was this calm and beautiful young lady he met at the coffee shop. As he stepped into the coffee shop to grab a cup of cappuccino that morning, he realized he had forgotten his wallet in the car. He had a long night preparing for a meeting with the Board of Directors and could hardly get enough rest and that made him clumsy and unsettled. 

 As he reached for his wallet in the car, he looked at the coffee shop and saw a young lady reading and writing on a table close to the entrance. Who was she? And why did she have this divine smile on her face? “Well, I would have to find out” he muttered under his breath as he locked the doors of his car and moved towards the entrance of the coffee shop. 
Grace repeatedly tried to rearrange the documents. HE had asked her to come to the coffee shop to meet his child and given her some assignments. She silently prayed this one would listen to her and not be stubborn. Baba’s love for them was what always motivated her to do her best in delivering the packages. She suddenly received a text message;
               Hey Grace, he is heading over to your table, you can deliver the package now, and he needs to rest.
-Baba. 

Grace smiled and dropped her phone on the table. As she looked up, she saw a young man, approaching her table. “Hi, good morning” she said. Greg was surprised, she seemed really friendly. “Good morning, can I join you please?” he said, calculating how fast he could speak with this lady and head to the office. It was going to be a super busy day. 

 After the meeting that morning, Greg remained in the conference room to evaluate the outcome of the meeting. His mind was like a battle field. How did Baba find him? Why did he send the package and why Grace?  He tried to understand what had just happened.  He stared at the package Grace gave to him. It had his name on it. He realised the void in his life was because of the absence of Baba. He never went back to Him after what happened 15 years ago. He had wronged him and believed Baba would never forgive him and so, he moved on and never looked back. He was amazed as to how Grace found him after all these years. 

Guess what? Grace has been searching for you too! The arms of God’s unending love is ready to receive you and transform your life. (Romans 12:1-2) The void can only be filled when you receive the package grace has for you to empower you to live the life of God. And God’s grace is readily available for all, no matter how your past was, not as a licence to dwell in sin but to empower you to live above sin (2 Corinthians 5:17, John 3:3, Romans 6:1-2). Accept the amazing grace of God and let him transform you and give you rest.

I'M BACK!

2021 has been an eventful year so far! I know it's been a minute. Errrrr, maybe more than a minute. It's been 11 weeks!😂😂😂  I resumed in January 2021 to complete my training at the Nigerian Law School. The pandemic extended the academic calendar and so, I had to use the remaining time judiciously. Rounded off my bar exams last week. Thank God for everything, honestly. I. AM. BACK. 😊 Watch out for amazing and inspiring contents on academics, faith, and lifestyle. I have plans to share my academic journey from the University to Law School with you especially the lessons I learnt and tips I believe will be helpful for undergraduates and aspirants to the Nigerian Bar and so many other amazing contents. #YoursTruly03: OLD PLAYLIST

                      I love music. I think that is an interesting fact about me because no day passes without music being a major part of my 24 hours. I have a thing for lyrics and beats too. Once it blesses, edifies and inspires me, there’s a playlist for it. Some days ago, my entire last added playlist rearranged itself. I was like “who sent this one message” at the beginning because, my newly downloaded songs were lost in the crowd of my very long list. But, I realized that some of the songs I was seeing were my jams back in the day.  It’s a cycle.
