Dreaming or Doing?
Haja was reading a book on Scientific Discoveries when she suddenly 'received' an award as the greatest scientist in the whole world. She got home immediately after the Award Ceremony and arranged the award together with the twenty-seven others she had received for her invention in the last Three years. Fulfilled, She called her driver, Mr Abass to go get her three smart kids from school. She was exhausted but she had to pen down her ideas for the next project on her list.
'Haj Haj', Mrs Moko, Haja's Mum screamed. Haja suddenly receiving reality's warm embrace realised she had been 'lost in thoughts' and hurriedly ran to attend to her Mum.
Here was Haja, a young lady with a bright future who knew she wanted to be better than her present status in life as well as make her parents proud but who, despite her dreams and desires, paid no attention to hardwork, discipline and dedication.
Sorry for her?... What about you?
In nanoseconds, you see yourself accomplished, married, addressing a crowd or even receiving an award. But while in this wonderland, you're probably lying down, lost in thoughts or even sleeping.
The truth is, as long as you continue to do nothing about your dreams, they would only remain dreams and nothing more. There's absolutely nothing wrong with having dreams, but it doesn't end there. There's a need to work towards achieving them.
Therefore, as much as you see yourself in a mansion, having cool cars, and living a great life, realise that it is not enough to dream! You have to do the needful.
Don't stop at dreaming, start DOING! Get to work. Let your dreams be a source of inspiration to do better and not a bus stop for relaxation and spectacle.
Dreaming without the necessary action would always be a terrible waste of precious time and would end with 'had I known' and the uncountable wishes that never end. But again, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride.
Are you just dreaming or you're actively working towards achieving your dreams?
I leave you to answer that...

I really like this. The transition of the story, it's not the norm. It's also thought provoking.👍
